whit, (noun): a very small part or amount

All right, you got me, I love a good pun. I've had the name picked out for my blog since long before I ever decided to publish it.
I'm Whit, and I'm one very small woman. But also, I am always seeking to learn more — about the world around me, about my job, about better ways to raise my children, to be a better wife, sister, daughter, friend, and — when I'm feeling like it — a better cook.
In writing this blog, I hope to share some of my experiences and adventures with you, my readers.
I honestly don't know if there is anyone out there who will read what I have to say. There is a huge part of me that's worried people will read my blog and think it horrible, or worse, not relevant.
It's taken years of me getting as far as the payment page for this domain and backing out, making a thousand excuses not to, to actually hit that "submit" button and finally do it. It hasn't been the "right time" for about 10 years now.
But this year, in the wake of 2020, I, like so many others I am sure, am feeling that now-or-never urgency to take a leap of faith, to do that thing that scares me, but sets my soul on fire just the same.
To anyone who reads, and especially to anyone who subscribes, I thank you.
I hope all of my Whit-isms, Murphy-isms (my family calls me Murphy, because truly, if it's going to happen, it will happen to me), and cynical quips resonate with you, brighten your day, or even offer the teeniest bit of insight, depending on the day.
Let's seek some Whit together. Pun intended.
